ReplyDeletePlus, what was it with music journalists calling themselves Jonh?
I imagine in Wilde's case it was a homage / continuation of Jonh Ingham? I can't think of any other Jonh's though off the top of my head.
ReplyDeleteI love this review, my favorite single thing by Jonh I think - just the sheer smiting he applies to the piffle.
